About
Introduction:
Noorbakshia is a Sufi-based Islamic school of thought that combines Tasawwuf (Sufism) with Sharia (Islamic law). It emphasizes unity among Muslims and follows core Islamic beliefs such as faith in Allah, Prophets, Angels, Holy Books, and the Day of Judgment.
Founder:
The Noorbakshia order was founded by Shah Syed Muhammad Nurbakhsh Qahistani (d. 1464). He was a great Sufi saint, scholar, and spiritual leader who aimed to revive pure Islamic teachings based on both inner spirituality and outward practice.
Early Development:
The teachings of Noorbakshia are influenced by earlier Sufi masters like Shaikh Maroof Karkhi.
It also traces its spiritual chain (Silsila) back to Imam Ali and ultimately to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
This chain is called Silsila-e-Zahab (Golden Chain).
